Product Description |
| With its 1920 x 1080 resolution, the HD panel on Panasonic plasmas displays beautiful images without having to perform pixel conversion for the 1080p video signals processed by the video circuitry. Because super-high resolution is best appreciated on a large screen, Panasonic offers the 1080p HD panel in 50 inch and larger models. These dazzling images can be further enjoyed with the stunning detail and beauty of a Panasonic Blu-ray Disc player.Movie images are some of the most difficult for TV displays to reproduce. By working closely with movie studios for many years and applying research by the Panasonic Hollywood Lab, Studio Reference Mode on Panasonic plasma TVs enables the replication of colors that was originally intended by the director - exactly the way they are seen on reference monitors in professional film editing rooms.Pro-Setting Mode offers the precise, highly detailed adjustment of image quality to suit personal preferences. Just the touch of a button on the remote executes setting adjustments such as tint, brightness, contour emphasis, gamma compensation and black expansion, which would otherwise require the use of special equipment to accomplish.EZ Sync HDAVI Control lets you operate all of your home theater components by pressing a single button on your TV's remote control.GalleryPlayer allows you to enjoy the world's finest high definition art and photography on your Panasonic HD plasma TV. Use the free GalleryPlayer software to purchase and download the images you like, and then play them on your Panasonic HDTV right from your PC. Sign-up is easy and free. Plus, you get a free collection of high definition images to enjoy right away in your home or office.Share your JPEG photos taken with a Lumix digital camera on your Panasonic plasma using the built-in SD card slot. Simply insert the SD card, which is about the size of a postage stamp, into the SD slot on the TV and enjoy a photo slideshow with Photo Viewer. |

Review of Panasonic 58 inch Plasma 1080P HDTV

Product is big and beautiful and delivers a brilliant picture .....best picture of standard broadcasts (non HD) can be achieved by connecting a good high quality Audio/Video receiver via HDMI 1.3 connection. This setup upgrades the normal standard cable broadcast to near HD. Suggestion: Onkyo (I installed an Onkyo SR-875) has several receivers that will do this. Sit within 7 feet from this screen and its like looking through a window!! |

I bought this TV from Amazon, order filled by Vanns. I got the TV delivered at my door by Yellow Freight within 5 days of buying the TV. The Yellow freight driver put it at the front door, and I pushed it to my family room. Very pleased with the purchase experience.
The TV has rich vibrant colors, and is a pleasure to watch. I do not have HD cable yet - so SD is okay. However, when I connect the Wii to it, I am floored with the quality of images - I never felt great about Wii's graphics, but this TV forces me to change my opinion (Imagine playing XBox or PS on this !!). The sound is very good - at 25% volume, it is very loud and clear.
I had this TV for less than 24 hours, but am very happy so far. I will update this after a few months of use.
** If you are buying it online, get some help, as this TV is heavy - it is about 175 lbs with Stand *** |

| This is my first Plasma/HD TV and after much research I decided on the 58" 750U. I came to the conclusion that this was the 3rd best rated Plasma available and the 4th best TV over 50" behind the Pioneer Elite, Pioneer Kuro and the Sony 52" Bravia XBR. The biggest Bravia available is the 52" (except for the 70" at 32K) and I wanted as close to 60" as possible. The Pioneer's were just too expensive for me. So, I ordered this TV and am loving it. It looks incredible playing Blu-Ray and has the best display for SD that I have seen (next to the elite/kuro). So far I am totally impressed with this TV. |

| Excellent Plasma TV. It's my 3rd Panasonic. I have the 48", 50" and now the 58". Great color, good blacks and 3 HDMI ports. By ordering thru Amazon, I saved about $1200 over the brick & mortor stores in town. Hook it up to DirecTV and it will blow you away. Highly recommend but be warned, it's very heavy. Shipper did not help with the install, just dumped it in my foyer. No white glove install as advertised. |

| I have only had the TV setup for a few days, however the picture is great! The picture is better than the 32 inch Sony LCD HDTV I had purchased about a year ago. |
