Protecting our new 50 inch LED with anti-glare TV screen protector was a good decision by my wife. Our 4 year old is a real danger for the screen although I hung the TV on a wall mount 5 feet from the ground.
The material is solid and I doubt it can be accidentally broken.

Picture is excellent and the protector was really well packaged and protected with removable plastic film on both sides. The antiglare surface looks pretty similar to the original TV screen surface. I am glad she got the anti-glare TV screen protector at 9 is only a fraction of the cost of our new TV.

TV Armor TV Screen Protector that fits 36″-37″ LCD, LED and Plasma TVs Review

I found this product after my 2 year old son cracked the LCD on our 40″ Sony television and finding out the extended warranty at a certain big box retailer does not cover accidental damage even though the salesman told me it would (my mistake for believing him). I did some research online and found this product.

The protector is 1/4″ Plexiglas that sits in front of the LCD via a lip that fits over the top of the TV with felt dots to keep the shield away from the LCD along along two velcro straps on the back to secure it.

Installation was almost “too easy.” First, make sure the screen is big enough before you remove the blue protective sheet to avoid a restocking fee if you have to return it. Second, place four felt dots on the corners so that they are not touching the lcd but the frame of the tv to keep the shield at least 1/4″ away from the LCD. Third, feed the velcro straps through one set of eyelets, place the screen on the tv, feed the straps through the other eyelets and tighten.

The screen appeared to not effect the picture quality at all. I forgot to take before and after photos with my 37″ LG but I will do it when I receive the 52″ Samsung that is replacing the broken 40″ Sony. Since the screen is Plexiglas, the manufacture recommends that you do not use any glass cleaners or paper products to clean the shield, only a mild soap solution and a lint free cloth to keep the screen from developing a haze.

In my opinion, this is cheap insurance spending between 0 and 5 to protect a major investment in some cases because most store warranties exclude accidental damage and if I was to file a claim on my homeowners insurance I would still be out the deductible plus have a claim on my record which could trigger a rate increase…

I purchased this screen protector for our new 40 inch Bravia. I had my daughter help me fix it on the TV and I never took it off since. It’s somewhat heavier that what I expected but it was absolutely clear when we removed the sticky paper protection and the picture looks great.

We bought this to protect a 52″ LCD TV after my 2 year old threw a toy at our 40″ TV resulting in a broken LCD. I found out the hard way that the extended warranty at the big box stores do not cover accidental damage even though I was told it would by the sales clerk.

The TV Armor does a great job of protecting the LCD screen which is the most vulnerable and most expensive part on the TV. It was very easy to install and does not detract from the quality of the picture one bit. The first night we had the TV set up, my wife made several comments about the quality of the picture with the TV Armor in place.

It seems to attract dust especially on the back side of the protector but the dust accumulation is only noticeable when the TV is off. Removing the TV Armor to remove the dust is quite easy. The instruction recommend you only use a lent free cloth to remove the dust by the way…

I would highly recommend this product as cheap insurance to protect an LCD TV especially if you have young children. You can find videos on youtube showing demonstrations of the product and how well it protects a LCD TV.
